Drop-In Sewing & Crochet Support with Jess Hoskins

Need a little help getting unstuck on a project? Want someone experienced to talk through a pattern, diagnose a problem, or show you a new technique hands-on? Book hourly studio time with textile artist and instructor Jess Hoskins and get support exactly where you need it.

This is an open-format working session designed for real projects and real questions. Bring your sewing or crochet project and make progress with expert guidance—whether you’re just getting started, halfway through something tricky, or trying to level up your skills.

What You Can Work On

Sewing and crochet projects of all kinds are welcome, including:

• Textile techniques & finishing

• Machine troubleshooting & setup

• Soft goods (pillows, bags, accessories, etc.)

• Crochet stitches, shaping & pattern support

• Starting your first project from scratch

• “Why is this not working??” rescue missions

All skill levels are welcome—from absolute beginners to seasoned hobbyists refining technique.

How It Works

• Book by the hour (stay for as long as you need)

• Work at your own pace with Jess available for coaching

• All sewing machines & basic tools are provided

• You’re welcome to bring your own machine if preferred

What to Bring

• Your project (finished, half-finished, or not-yet-started)

• Any relevant patterns or instructions

• Fabric, yarn, or materials you plan to use

• Optional: your own machine, if that’s your comfort zone

If you’re starting from zero and aren’t sure what to bring, you can book a session just to ask questions and get oriented.

Booking & Studio Details

Sessions are booked by the hour and take place at the LullCo Design Studio in Ann Arbor. You choose how long you need—one hour for a quick fix, or a longer block to make real progress.
